Ayana Sakai (酒井 彩名 (さかい あやな) Sakai Ayana, born May 16, 1985
Mobara, Chiba, Japan)
is a Japanese actress affiliated with the talent agency, Horipro. She is known for her roles in Attack No. 1, Aim for the Ace!, and Battle Royale II: Requiem. She was also apart of the girl group, Licca in 2002.

Sakai portrayed Ayano Kurimaki in episodes eight and nine of Hana Yori Dango.[1][2]

Biography

Early life

Ayana Sakai was born on May 16, 1985 in Mobara, Chiba, Japan. She graduated from Horikoshi High School, famous for being attended by many Japanese celebrities. She has been friends with Aya Ueto since junior high, and once was neighbors with Yuko Ogura. Sakai also has a younger brother.

She began her acting career with the 1997 drama, Ushirono Hyakutaro. Sakai has also appeared in Man, Next Natural Girl: 100 Nights in Yokohama (1999), Aim for the Ace! (2004), Attack No. 1 (2005), and Hana Yori Dango (2005). Her film credits include Battle Royale II: Requiem (2003), Devilman (2004) and Flying Rabbits (2008).

Personal life

Sakai married L'Arc-en-Ciel bassist, Tetsuya in late 2007. She confirmed she was six months pregnant in April 2014. Sakai gave birth to her son on September 1, 2014.
