"BABY'S GROWING UP" (ベイビーズ グローイング アップ) is Yuki Uchida's fourth single and the theme song for the Hana Yori Dango film. The song, "Nineteen" is included on the single.

It was released by King Records on August 19, 1995 in Japan and reached #5 on the Oricon charts. Both songs on the single were written by Tetsuya Komuro, who enjoyed considerable popularity in the 1990s.

Background

A slow version of "Baby's Growing Up" is on Uchida's album, Mi-Chemin. The song was also included in Uchida's compilation albums, Present (1997) and Uchida Yuki Perfect Best (2010).

"Baby's Growing Up" was written by Tetsuya Komuro, who wrote another hit for Uchida, "Only You". Tomomi Kahala, a long-time collaborator of Komuro's, contributed to the chorus on "Baby's Growing Up".[1][2]

The music video for the song features Yuki Uchida as a young delinquent. She is shown in a prison cell, before being taken through a crowd onto a bus. She manages to escape somehow at the end of the video.
