Chapter 13 (
After Oto Edogawa is hurt, Haruto Kaguragi feels horrible for not acting sooner. Trying to figure out his next move, he runs into F4 member Rui, who causes him to have an epiphany. Haruto rushes to visit Oto at the hospital.
Plot[]
Correct 5 members Kaito Taira, Sugimaru Eibi, Issa Narumiya, and Airi Maya discuss Oto Edogawa. Airi considers Tenma Hase's donation for Oto to be "tainted." Kaito counters by saying, "money is money." Issa then notices that Haruto is gone. He is sitting outside, lamenting his unintentional role in Oto getting hurt. He recalls Tenma calling him "despicable" and agrees. He then holds his head in his hands and wonders what Tsukasa Domyoji would have done in this situation.
A doctor tells Oto that she will be fine, though Tenma has arranged for her to stay overnight at the hospital. When Oto protests, Tenma enters the room and asks her to "please stay." Oto asks him why he donated the money. Tenma indirectly confesses his feelings, saying "I never once thought of you as just a fiancee arranged by my parents." He asks Oto about her feelings, but decides to give her time to reply properly later. After Tenma leaves, Oto thinks "I only thought of him as just a fiance arranged by my parents."
Haruto is still agonizing, when two happen by. He manages to "play it cool" in front of them before walking off. In search for a place to be alone, Haruto finds an emergency exit. Unexpectedly, the F4's Rui Hanazawa is there. Haruto drops his "calming amethyst" bracelet. Rui calls one of the beads "cute" and asks to keep it. When Rui starts to leave, Haruto asks him "what would Mr. Domyoji do?" Rui replies that "he only has eyes for what's most important." His words spark an epiphany in Haruto, who rushes over to the hospital.

- A few sentences were changed in Viz's volume release, such as "a donation of fifty million yen" to "a $500,000 donation", while "if it were him" was removed.
- Rui has a cameo in this chapter, making him the second Boys Over Flowers character to appear in the sequel after Tama in chapter six.
