Not to be confused with Chapter 26 of Boys Over Flowers Season 2.

Tsukasa: "I told you I wouldn't stand for this! You're so boy-crazy you can't control yourself!"
Tsukushi: "Now you've gone too far. Anyway, we're not even going steady. Why do I have to take this from you? Leave me alone!"
Tsukasa: "All right, then..."
Tsukasa and Tsukushi argue about Thomas

Chapter 26 (第26話 () ) of Boys Over Flowers by Yoko Kamio was published in Margaret's April 1993 issue.[1] The chapter was later included in the series' fifth volume. It was followed by chapter twenty-seven in May 1993.

Thomas blackmails Tsukushi Makino into meeting him again. She avoids being alone with him by taking Kazuya Aoike along. The situation starts to get to Tsukushi, who is also puzzled by Sakurako Sanjo's recent behavior.

Plot[]

Tsukasa Domyoji finds Tsukushi Makino speaking to Thomas. She makes up an excuse about him "asking for directions." Thomas speaks in German and Tsukasa replies, which impresses Tsukushi. She begins flattering Tsukasa, giving Thomas an opening to run away. Before he leaves, he asks Tsukushi to meet him at Galbo Station. Noticing Thomas' escape, an angry Tsukasa accuses Tsukushi of being "boy-crazy." She reminds him that they are not actually going out. Sad, Tsukasa replies "All right, then..."

Worried about being alone with Thomas, Tsukushi asks Kazuya Aoike to accompany her. Thomas is noticeably annoyed when she shows up at the restaurant with Kazuya, who even tries to speak Spanish to him. Looking at Thomas, Tsukushi is once again reminded of Rui Hanazawa. He quickly shocks her out of her daydreams, when he begins eating loudly. Thomas then belches and farts, embarrassing Tsukushi and Kazuya. Before leaving, he tells her "Leave the kid behind next time."

The next day, Tsukushi meets the F4 and Sakurako Sanjo. A bug flies near Sakurako and she takes refuge in Tsukasa, who promptly squashes it. Akira makes a jab at Tsukushi which Sakurako returns with "I'm sure Tsukushi gets all the flies." Tsukushi laughs it off though Sakurako starts crying, accusing her of being mad at her. Later, Tsukushi still feels gloomy when she visits Yuki Matsuoka. To cheer her up, Yuki's sister takes them both to a night club. There Tsukushi is shocked to see Sakurako dancing on stage.

Character appearances[]

Notes[]

  • Chapter twenty-six was originally released in Margaret with a two-page color opening. It featured Tsukushi with the F4 dressed as butterflies.[2] The image was republished in the art book and volume three of the complete edition.
  • In the previous chapter, scratch marks on Thomas' face are clearly shown but they have somehow disappeared in this chapter.
  • The club "Joliana" is a reference to Juliana's, a popular discothéque in Tokyo during the early 1990s.
