Chapter 27 (
Tenma Hase asks Oto Edogawa on a date to an amusement park. Later, Megumi Nishidome asks Oto if it is "all right" for her to date Haruto Kaguragi. The two couples meet at the same amusement park by chance.
Airi Maya tells Oto Edogawa that it is "just a matter of time" before Megumi Nishidome and Haruto Kaguragi start dating. She is upset that she stepped aside, but Oto ended up dating Tenma Hase instead. Airi cries as she eats several rice balls made by Oto. Later that night, Oto talks to Tenma over the phone. Tenma invites her on a date to an amusement park that his family has stock in. It will be there first date outside of their usual meetings on the twentieth of each month.
Oto is eating lunch alone, when Megumi approaches her at school. She asks for a bite and accidentally ends up eating everything. Megumi asks about Tenma and tells Oto that she and Haruto saw them together. Once again, Megumi asks if it is all right for her to pursue Haruto. Oto tells her that "[she has] nothing to with him." Megumi expresses her happiness, though she is nervous since she has no romantic experience. She resolves to ask Haruto on a date and thanks Oto for her help, before leaving.
After Megumi leaves, Oto tells herself that "[Haruto] is bound to fall for her quickly." She hopes that "once that happens" the pain in her chest will go away. Later, Oto and Tenma are at the amusement park, which is nearly empty. The two of them ride a roller-coaster that goes upside down. After the ride, Oto feels sick and lies down on a bench, while Tenma goes to get medicine. Oto notices someone lying on the bench opposite of her. Surprisingly, the person is Haruto, who is accompanying Megumi.
