Chapter 30 (第30花 () , Chapter 30), first published as Episode 30 (30話 () , Episode 30), is an installment of the series, Boys Over Flowers Season 2 by Yoko Kamio. It was published on July 10, 2016 on Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ and Viz Media's website. The chapter was later included in volume five.

After his near-death experience, Megumi Nishidome asks Haruto Kaguragi "go out with [her] for real". Meanwhile, Oto Edogawa and Tenma Hase run into three students from his school. The encounter leads to their first fight.

Plot

Megumi Nishidome bawls her eyes out, after nearly seeing Haruto Kaguragi die. Haruto promises to "never do it again", before Megumi confesses that he was "cool" in that moment. Megumi then asks him to "go out with [her] for real." She declares that she "will cherish [him]" and will "be a girl [he] can be proud of." Her impassioned speech veers in a different direction, when she mentions that "[she will] give [him] love power to the max." Haruto stares at her with dumbfounded look on his face.

Meanwhile, Oto Edogawa and Tenma Hase run into three students from his school. One girl appears visibly stricken upon seeing them together. Oto is troubled by the girl's expression and Tenma asks her why is she "letting that bother [her]." Tenma reveals that the girl has professed her love to him before, but that it will do nothing good to go comfort her. Feeling self-conscious since Haruto's confession, Oto believes that Tenma can see her "waffling". She says a hurried goodbye and leaves.

Oto makes a surprise visit at Haruto's home. Kobayashi serves them tea and leaves them to their own devices. Oto looks out of the garden and recalls the barbecue incident. At that time, Oto was annoyed by his attitude back then, but found that "[she] could [not] hate [him] at all." She asks if he likes her. Haruto confirms his feelings, saying "I haven't been able to get you out of my mind." Oto thanks him for sharing his feelings, before telling him "now we can end this."
