Chapter 36 (
During a fight with Haruto Kaguragi, Oto Edogawa declares her intentions to transfer to Momnozono. Oto later encounters Konoe, who tells her about his admiration for Tenma Hase. Meanwhile, Megumi Nishidome confronts Haruto.
Following an argument, Oto Edogawa tells Haruto Kaguragi that she is transferring to Momonozono Academy. Haruto replies that she should "hurry up" then and leaves the store. Konno tells Oto that Haruto did not "really mean" what he said. As he hurries away, Haruto curses Tenma Hase, knowing he "[will not] even be able to see [Oto] anymore." After work, Oto apologizes to Konno for the "drama". Konno wistfully says that she hopes Oto can have a "carefree life" like her.
Oto sees Hitoshi Konoe sitting on the ledge of bridge on her way home. She pleads with him to get down. He then tells her about a time he was dangling from the bridge. Konoe had wanted to end his life, but Tenma saved him. Afterwards, Tenma used his influence to stop the other students from bullying Konoe. He informs Oto that he would "do anything for [Tenma]" and mentions Haruto. Oto realizes that Konoe saw her talking to Haruto earlier. He leaves after asking her "not to do anything that might be misconstrued."
At Haruto's home, he takes a bath with a dejected look on his face. He recalls his conversation with Oto, wishing he worded his feelings better. Megumi walks in and exclaims, "I knew it! You went to see Oto." She tells him to "just forget about [Oto] already" and steps into the bath. Her naked body surprises Haruto. He backs away and yells at her to leave. Megumi begins to cry, upset by his reaction. She asks him to "look at [her]" and places his hand on her chest.
