Chapter 48 (
Haruto Kaguragi wins the contest by forfeit, when Tenma Hase drops out after learning the truth about Hitoshi Konoe. Using Sojiro Nishikado's advice, Haruto asks Oto Edogawa to meet him at a certain bridge if she has any feelings for him.
Plot[]
The students of Momonozono Academy are "devastated" by Tenma Hase's lost at the "Manly Man Festival", while Eitoku's students are "in a festive mood" since Haruto Kaguragi won. Experts and commentators are also stunned by the unpredictable outcome. Meanwhile, Haruto's friends discuss the contest. Airi mentions that she "was the only one who believed in Haruto," to which Sugimaru Eibi brings up her "escape plan." Kaito Taira asks about the whereabouts of Haruto and Oto Edogawa.
Sojiro Nishikado hits every target at his archery on horseback competition, much to the delight of his fans. Once he gets off his horse, he notices Haruto watching him. Haruto talks about the contest, saying "I only won by default". Sojiro tells him that "a win [is] a win". He then advises Haruto to have Oto meet him at Shijo Ohashi Bridge for a "romantic" walk along the river. Haruto thanks him profusely as Sojiro walks off with some maiko. Bolstered by Sojiro's words, Haruto states "there [is] nothing holding me back now."
The three guys who helped Hitoshi Konoe attack Eitoku's students previously try to convince him continue their arrangement. Konoe calls one of them a "piece of filth" when he touches him. His words anger them and they proceed to beat him up. At the same time, Haruto meets with Oto. She informs him that she is going to meet Tenma. Haruto suddenly declares "go break up with him!" He tells her that he is serious about her and asks her to meet him at Shijo Ohashi Bridge later.
