The eightieth chapter (
Oto Edogawa says a tearful farewell to Tenma Hase at the airport. He then meets Tsubaki Domyoji, who gives him some advice about the future. As Tenma is about to board, Hitoshi Konoe reveals his plan to go with him.
Plot[]
At Narita Airport, a group of Momonozono Academy students bid farewell to Tenma Hase. Airi Maya runs up to him. She asks him if he has plans to come back someday, to which he says "Miss Maya, thanks for everything." She becomes annoyed and yells at him to stop calling her "Miss." Tenma relents, saying "Take care, Airi." As he walks away, Airi yells that she might not like him the next time they see each other. She then asks him if she can visit him and gets annoyed by his flippant answer.
Outside Oto Edogawa's apartment, Haruto Kaguragi is talking to Kaito Taira on the phone. Kaito questions if Oto will go with Tenma, but Haruto firmly says "I trust her." Oto's mother approaches him, asking where Oto went. Meanwhile, Oto makes it in time to see Tenma just as he is about to go through the gate. She starts to cry though he asks her to smile for him. Unable to stop her tears, Oto promises to smile the next time they meet. Tenma agrees and briefly touches her hand, before leaving.
A woman, whom seems familiar to Tenma, appears beside him and asks he if going to Los Angeles too. He explains his reasons for going to there. She mentions her brother, whom she calls a "complete idiot" but has completely changed now. She then quotes "Fate will carry your soul to its most suitable place," which Tenma recognizes. She advises him to leave life "up to fate." Hitoshi Konoe arrives and reveals that he is going with Tenma. He identifies the woman as Tsubaki Domyoji. To himself, Tenma says "I guess I'll let fate take me to the most suitable place."

- This chapter features a cameo by Tsubaki, making her the fifth Boys Over Flowers character to appear in the sequel.
- Minor changes were made to the text in Viz's volume edition, an example being "I didn't tell her" changed to "I didn't tell her I was leaving."
