Tsukushi fights back against the bullies.

Tsukushi Makino, a poor student at Eitoku Academy, sighs as she listens to her classmates talk of extravagance. She silently continues sweeping, before bumping into her friend, Makiko Endo. They witness Tsukasa Domyoji, the leader of the F4, a tyrannical clique at Eitoku, bully another student. The F4 moves on and knocks over a wastebasket that Rui Hanazawa, the clique's mysterious member, picks up.

Makiko asks Tsukushi if they are friends. Tsukushi readily agrees and they make plans to go somewhere. Unfortunately, Makiko trips down the stairs and lands on Tsukasa. Obviously angry, Tsukasa appears as if he may blow up, even after Makiko apologizes. Tsukushi stands up for her friend and insults the F4. She quickly realizes her mistake as the F4 glare at her.

After school, Tsukushi meets up with her best friend, Yuki Matsuoka. She discusses her troubles at Eitoku, though Yuki does not seem surprised by Tsukushi's actions. As she listens to Yuki talk, Tsukushi begins to believe she did the right thing. Yuki gives Tsukushi an "emotion detector" toy to cheer her up and together they hurry off to work.

The following day, Tsukushi receives a the F4's red card in her locker. This is a cue for the other students to start bullying Tsukushi. First by throwing eggs at her and then hiding her desk, while Makiko actively avoids her. Tsukushi runs from the classroom to a stairwell and yells her frustrations about the F4. Rui Hanazawa happens to be there and they start to talk, though he brushes off her attempts to gain inside information on the F4. Tsukushi goes back to the classroom and finds that Makiko has returned her desk.

A group of students attempt to assault Tsukushi on her way home. Just as they grab her, Rui stops them and saves Tsukushi. She returns to school the next day prepared for all the bullies tactics, easily blocking everything. Tsukushi declares war on the F4 by kicking Tsukasa in the face and giving him a red card of her own. Tsukasa in a daze, seems to be reminded of his sister.
