Ou Ding Xing (Chinese: 歐定興; pinyin: Ōu Dìngxīng, born October 16, 1980 in Taiwan), also known by his English name Edward Ou, is a Taiwanese actor. He is best known for his supporting role as Chen Qing He in Meteor Garden (2001) and Meteor Garden II (2002). As of 2005, Ou is no longer active as an actor.

Early life[]
Ou was born on October 16, 1980 in Taiwan. He graduated from Hwa Kang Arts School in 1998, also the alma mater of Barbie Hsu, Dee Hsu, and Rainie Yang.
Career[]
In 2001, Ou made his debut in Meteor Garden as Chen Qing He, a friend of Barbie Hsu's character.[1] He went on to appear in a number of idol dramas, Poor Prince and Peach Girl (both 2001). Ou reprised his role as Qing He in Meteor Garden II (2002). The same year, he reunited with Jerry Yan, Vic Chou, Ken Chu, and Vanness Wu in Come to My Place (2002). His final acting role was in Say Yes Enterprise (2004)[2] since he withdrew from the entertainment industry, after learning his father had cancer. Though he meant to leave only temporarily, he was unable to find work when he tried to return two years later. In 2009, Ou had a brief appearance in the variety show, Kangsi Coming.[3]
Personal life[]
In June 2009, Ou was arrested for stealing a motorcycle. His license was suspended for one year and was sentenced to forty hours of voluntary labor. In December of the same year, he stole the laptop of a foreign college student he met at a night club. Ou was ordered to serve thirty days and fined 30,000 yuan.[4] He was caught selling fake Adidas sneakers in 2018. Ou was sentenced to fifty-nine days in custody and a fine of 59,000 yuan.[5] In January 2020, Ou was sentenced to twenty days for stealing a motorcycle helmet.[6][7]
