"The worst first kiss!! (最悪のファーストキス!! () Saiaku no First Kiss!!) is the second episode of Hana Yori Dango. It aired on October 28, 2005 in Japan[1] and was followed by the third episode on November 4.

Tsukushi Makino wakes up at Tsukasa Domyoji's house dressed from head to toe in riches. Meanwhile, Rui Hanazawa's first love Shizuka Todo returns from France.

Tsukushi Makino wakes up drowsily as a group of well-manicured hands hover over her. She regains full consciousness a short while later, and finds herself wearing a beautiful dress. Tsukasa Domyoji asks her to withdraw her declaration of war, which Tsukushi refuses. Tsukushi becomes lost on her way out and Tsukasa's mother, Kaede Domyoji has her men escort Tsukushi out.

At school, the other students are bad-mouthing Tsukushi once again and take it a step too far at lunch. In big, red letters at the cafeteria, someone wrote that Tsukushi "had five abortions". Obviously angry, Tsukushi runs to the stairwell and yells that she is actually an "innocent virgin". Rui Hanazawa, having heard everything, teases her before asking her the time difference in France. Tsukushi learns the time difference while working at her part-time job. Outside, Sakurako Sanjo is waiting to talk to Tsukushi.

Sakurako apologizes for not helping Tsukushi, and Tsukushi tells her not to worry about it. Nearby they spot Rui by some posters of Shizuka Todo. Tsukushi excitedly tells him the time difference between France and Japan. For a second, it appears that Rui is going to kiss Tsukushi, though he only found some white powder on her face. Tsukushi and Sakurako hurry away as Tsukasa watches them for his car.

Sakurako receives a red card the following day. The students corner her into the cafeteria, and Tsukushi comes to defense. Someone throws a bottle of sauce at Tsukushi, who dodges it with a broom. However, the sauce lands on Tsukasa's shoe. He makes a proposal that the game will end if Tsukushi licks it off. Before Tsukushi can make a decision, Rui interrupts by saying she was wrong about the time difference. Tsukushi arrives at school the next day to all the student saying hello and being kind to her. Yuriko Asai and her friends even invite her to a welcome home party for Shizuka.

The F4 go to Narita Airport to pick up Shizuka. Meanwhile, Tsukushi enters the party dressed in casual clothes, shocking all the rich party guests. Yuriko, Erika, and Minako embarrass her several times, including pouring their drinks on her. Rui comes to her rescue by handing her a handkerchief, and Shizuka playfully sprays champagne on the mean girls causing them to fall into the pool. Shizuka cleans up Tsukushi and lends her some of her clothes. Tsukasa, being jealous, picks a fight with Rui. Tsukushi pushes Tsukasa away from Rui and trips, which causes Tsukasa's lips to land on hers.

  • Upon seeing the dining hall in Tsukasa's home, Tsukushi exclaims "Ahhh!! Is this Harry Potter!?", because Tsukasa's dining hall is reminiscent of the Great Hall seen in the Harry Potter films.
  • Sojiro uses the line "Ichi-go ichi-e" (一期一会 () , lit. "one time, one meeting") again, this time to an English-speaking stewardess.
  • Akira speaks Mandarin to a woman and mentions they should "relive that passionate day" at Amandari, which is a five-star hotel in Bali. Tsuyoshi Abe was actually born in China and speaks Mandarin fluently.
  • The shoes Shizuka lends Tsukushi are Manolo Blahniks, a famous high-end shoe brand.
  • Unlike the manga, the trip to Atami is replaced with a party for Shizuka and also combined with the party that Yuriko Asai and her friends tricked Tsukushi into wearing casual clothes for.
