Meteor Garden is a Taiwanese drama released in 2001. The series received its first home media release in Taiwan on VCD during its initial broadcast. It was later released on DVD.[1] Meteor Garden and its sequels, Meteor Rain and Meteor Garden II, have been released on various formats in other countries.

Meteor Garden II VCD
During its first broadcast, Meteor Garden began being released on VCD. It was sold in three sets of VCDs, containing all nineteen episodes. The price for the first two sets was NT$600 each and the third one cost NT$700.[1] Meteor Garden II was released on VCD in late 2002. It was available in four sets as well as a complete set with all thirty-one of the episodes. The price per set was NT$ 700 or 2,500 for all four.[2] Limited edition posters were given to customers who purchase the VCD sets while supplies last.[3]
DVD[]
Meteor Garden was first released on DVD sometime after its broadcast, likely between late 2001 to 2002.[1][4] It was was released as a collector's edition and contains the original music used for Meteor Garden. Four vinyl figures of the F4 were also included.[5]

VCD[]
Warner Home Video released Meteor Garden on VCD as a nineteen disc set.[7] Meteor Garden II was also released on VCD in four sets in 2003.[8][9] Joy Sales released Meteor Rain on VCD as a three disc set.[10]
DVD[]
A DVD box set of Meteor Garden was released by Warner Home Video. Customers who purchased the "gift" version received a portrait of the F4.[11] Meteor Rain was released on DVD by Joy Sales.[12]

Surya Media Jadi released Meteor Garden on VCD in five sets with about four episodes per set.[14]
Japan[]
VHS[]
In Japan, Meteor Garden was first released on VHS in 2004. It was released as eight individual tapes at 2,490 yen apiece or as a full set at 19,800 yen. It was subtitled in Japanese.[15] Meteor Garden II was released on VHS in thirteen volumes.[16] Meteor Rain was released in two volumes in two different editions. One was dubbed in Japanese and the other had the original language with Japanese subtitles.[17]
DVD[]
In late 2004, Meteor Garden received a two box set DVD release with an extra box set for the special features. The sets, excluding the extra box set, included a Japanese dub as well as the original language.[18] In 2009, Meteor Garden was re-released onto one box set dubbed the "Complete DVD-Box."[19] Meteor Rain was released on DVD in 2005,[20] along with Meteor Garden II.[21] A "Japan Edition" of Meteor Garden II was released the following year. Unlike the first edition, it contains a Japanese dub of the series.[22]
In 2016, the "Complete DVD-Box" of Meteor Garden, the "Japan Edition" of Meteor Garden II, and the Meteor Rain box set were repackaged for the "Simple Box" line. These editions are changed slightly to meet the cost of 5,000 yen or less.[23][24][25]
