Kaori Sakagami (坂上 香織 (さかがみ かおり) Sakagami Kaori, born July 29, 1974 in Nagasaki, Japan) is an actress, who portrayed Sakurako Sanjo in the 1995 Hana Yori Dango film.

She is known for singing the first ending song for Ranma 1/2, and her portrayal of Ai Amano in Video Girl Ai.

Biography

Early life

Sakagami was born on July 29, 1974 in Nagasaki, Japan. She dropped out of Kaetsu Ariake Senior High School.

Career

Kaori Sakagami initially debuted as an actress. In 1988, she officially became an Idol singer, while also participating in television dramas and variety shows. Sakagami retired from singing in 1990.

Sakagami began acting in 1987 with small roles in television dramas, including various Taiga dramas. She had her film debut the following year, before starring as Ai Amano in the 1991 film, Video Girl Ai. In 1995, Sakagami costarred as Sakurako Sanjo in Hana Yori Dango.
