Koichi Hashizume (橋爪 浩一 (はしづめ こういち) Hashizume Kōichi, November 30, 1972 – July 9, 1999) was a Japanese actor from Ina, Nagano. Hachizume began his career as a model, before appearing in Hana Yori Dango as Akira Mimasaka.

He is known for his roles in Picnic and Shomuni. In 1999, he died in a bike accident in the United States.

Koichi Hashizume was born on November 30, 1972 in Ina, Nagano. He worked as a model, before becoming an actor.

In 1994, he starred in Picnic as Satoru, but the film was not released until 1996. Hashizume had a supporting role as Akira Mimasaka in the 1995 film, Hana Yori Dango. He went on to appear in several television dramas, including Singles (1997), Shomuni (1998), and Heaven Cannot Wait (1999).

Death

On July 9, 1999, Hashizume died in a bike accident in the United States of America.
