Lee Min-young (Hangul: 이민영; born June 21, 1991 in Seoul, South Korea), better known by her stage name Min (민), is a member of the girl group Miss A. She works as a singer, songwriter, and actress.

She and J-Min alternated the role of Tsukushi Makino in Boys Over Flowers: The Musical.

Biography

Early life

Min was born as Lee Min-young on June 21, 1991 in Seoul, South Korea. She participated in the children's show BoBoBo at a young age.[1] Min also joined a duo with Hyoyeon, of Girls' Generation fame, at the age of thirteen.[2]

In the sixth grade, she auditioned for JYP Entertainment and trained for a year, before being sent to America. Min studied at the Repertory Company High School for Theatre Arts in preparation for her debut.[3]

Career

She worked on her debut with JYP Entertainment executive Park Jin-young and American rapper Lil Jon.[3] Min went on to release three solo singles, "Dance Like This", "Go Ahead", and "Boyfriend".

Following her US debut, Min joined the girl group Miss A with Suzy, Fei, and Jia. The group made their official South Korean debut in July 2010 with Bad But Good.[4][5]
