Nami Tamaki (玉置 成実 (たまき なみ) Tamaki Nami, born June 1, 1988 in Wakayama, Japan) is a Japanese singer. She is well known for singing the theme songs of Gundam Seed and other anime series.

She portrayed Lillies leader, Yuriko Asai in Hana Yori Dango: The Musical in early 2016.


Early life

Tamaki was born on June 1, 1988 in Wakayama, Japan. She began learning how to perform and attended dance school in 1999. At thirteen-years-old, she auditioned for Sony Music Japan in 2001.


She debuted with the single, "Believe" in 2003. The song was used for the Gundam Seed opening. Tamaki released her first album, Greeting in 2004.

She has performed in several musicals, such as Sweet Charity and High School Musical. Tamaki made her feature film debut in 2006 with Lovely Complex.
